If you own a home and have a substantial amount of equity, right now is a great time to consider selling. It is no surprise that home values have bounced back from the 2008 market crash. Real Estate, like the rest of the economy goes through its ups and downs. As you may know right now the Real Estate market is just as strong as it was right before the 2008 market crash. Some subdivisions in cities such as Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Davie, Weston, and many more have already exceeded their peek value prior to the 2008 market crash. History tends to repeat itself and signs are hinting towards a market correction coming in the near future. If you have no plans on selling your home in the next 10+ years then your investment in your property is pretty safe. On the other hand, if you plan on selling your home in the next few years you may be walking a thin line and might want to consider selling now while we are in a strong seller’s market. Below are a few reasons why you should strongly consider selling now. - The market is experiencing a shortage of inventory resulting in a strong seller’s market.
- Home values are almost equal to their peak before the 2008 market crash. Don’t wait for the next housing market bubble to pop! History repeats itself and it may come sooner than later, Now is a great time to cash out on your equity.
- Interest rates are low for now but are expected to rise. Higher interest rates result in less purchasing power for your buyer and for you when buying your next home. As interest rates rise, less buyers can buy. Less buyers = less bidding wars. Not the best news for sellers.
- Buyers have caught on to seasonal market trends and are looking to find ways around it. Spring and Summer are too competitive so buyers are open to buying during the off seasons, Fall and Winter.
