Alhambra
Although award-winning isn’t one of the phrases you would expect to see when researching a community, Alhambra is one of the exceptions. The community is a recipient of the National Civic League’s All America City Award as well as the Outstanding Achievement Award bestowed by the City Livability Achievement Awards Program. More than anything, these awards are a pointer to the peace, serenity, and community building efforts that have made the community one of the most pleasant places to live in Pembroke Pines.
Shopping and Dining
The whole Pembroke Pines community is filled with easily accessible shopping centers and fine dining. The Silver Lakes Center, Shoppes of Silver Lakes, and the Chapel Trail Plaza are some of the places where Alhambra dwellers get their groceries and virtually every other product or
service they need. If you are seeking a higher scale shopping experience, the famous shops at Pembroke Gardens are a few minutes away. Residents have a wide variety of foods to choose from; cuisine styles from American, Japanese, Caribbean, Italian, and much more.
Parks and recreation
The Alhambra Park is easily accessible to the community dwellers and it is managed by Pembroke Pines. Picnic tables, covered pavilions, and BBQ stations are all available in the park. Perhaps the most unique park around is the Nature Preserve located just east of Alhambra's entrance. There are other parks within the area that offer youth sports programs, summer programs, activities, and weekend events.
